Also called the EVOS Interactive Parcel Map, this catalog allows you to view information about lands acquired through the EVOS Habitat Protection Program, including acreage as well as state, federal, or other interests in the properties.\\n\\nThe Habitat Protection Program is funded through the EVOS Trust Fund, which was established as part of the settlement of the State\\u2019s litigation against ExxonMobil following the Exxon Valdez oil spill in 1989. The Trust Fund is used, in part, to purchase high-value habitat within the spill area to protect resources and services injured by the spill.\\n\\nHabitat Acquired\\n\\nAs of 2020, the EVOS Trust Fund has been used to conserve approximately 650,000 acres of land in Prince William Sound, the Kenai Peninsula, and the Kodiak Archipelago, including:\\n\\nOver 1,400 miles of coastal habitats and more than 300 anadromous rivers, streams and spawning areas, which are now available for public access and recreation, including hunting and fishing.\\n\\nMany small parcels, typically encompassing strategically located habitats, such as coves, important stretches of river, the mouths of rivers, or land adjacent to valuable tidelands.\\n\\nOver 1,800 acres along the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers and their watersheds, including several miles of shoreline.\\n\\nOver 3,200 acres along the Moose River, a major sockeye salmon producer that feeds into the Kenai River.\\n\\nOver 170 acres on the Anchor River, including more than two miles of river frontage and 500 acres of contiguous intact floodplain communities, providing important spawning and rearing habitat for four species of salmon and the largest steelhead run in Cook Inlet.\\n\\nOther parcels in Prince William Sound and on Kodiak Island and Northern Afognak Island, all of which have been identified as high priority for habitat protection.\\n\\nAdditional Information\\n\\nThe EVOS Habitat Protection and Acquisition Catalog provides additional information on the restoration strategies of the Habitat Protection Program as well as additional habitat and historic information on those parcels acquired between 1994 and 2006.\", \"distribution\": [{\"@type\": \"dcat:Distribution\", \"accessURL\": \"https://arcgis.dnr.alaska.gov/arcgis/rest/services/OPM/EVOS_All_Parcels/MapServer/0\", \"format\": \"ArcGIS GeoServices REST API\", \"mediaType\": \"application/json\", \"title\": \"ArcGIS GeoService\"}, {\"@type\": \"dcat:Distribution\", \"accessURL\": \"https://data-soa-dnr.opendata.arcgis.com/api/download/v1/items/a957aa77deb9449e9698b6e57f1ff247/csv?layers=0\", \"format\": \"CSV\", \"mediaType\": \"text/csv\", \"title\": \"CSV\"}, {\"@type\": \"dcat:Distribution\", \"accessURL\": \"https://data-soa-dnr.opendata.arcgis.com/api/download/v1/items/a957aa77deb9449e9698b6e57f1ff247/geojson?layers=0\", \"format\": \"GeoJSON\", \"mediaType\": \"application/vnd.geo+json\", \"title\": \"GeoJSON\"}, {\"@type\": \"dcat:Distribution\", \"accessURL\": \"https://data-soa-dnr.opendata.arcgis.com/api/download/v1/items/a957aa77deb9449e9698b6e57f1ff247/kml?layers=0\", \"format\": \"KML\", \"mediaType\": \"application/vnd.google-earth.kml+xml\", \"title\": \"KML\"}, {\"@type\": \"dcat:Distribution\", \"accessURL\": \"https://data-soa-dnr.opendata.arcgis.com/api/download/v1/items/a957aa77deb9449e9698b6e57f1ff247/shapefile?layers=0\", \"format\": \"ZIP\", \"mediaType\": \"application/zip\", \"title\": \"Shapefile\"}, {\"@type\": \"dcat:Distribution\", \"accessURL\": \"https://data-soa-dnr.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/SOA-DNR::evos-parcels\", \"format\": \"Web Page\", \"mediaType\": \"text/html\", \"title\": \"ArcGIS Hub Dataset\"}], \"identifier\": \"https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=a957aa77deb9449e9698b6e57f1ff247&sublayer=0\", \"issued\": \"2023-09-12T22:29:32.000Z\", \"keyword\": [\"Alaska\", \"Cook Inlet\", \"Exxon Valdez Oil Spill\", \"Habitat Restoration\", \"Kenai Peninsula\", \"Kodiak\", \"Prince William Sound\", \"Southcentral\", \"Valdez\", \"environment\", \"impact\", \"large parcels\", \"oil observations\", \"oiling\", \"small parcels\"], \"landingPage\": \"https://data-soa-dnr.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/SOA-DNR::evos-parcels\", \"license\": \"Any hardcopies or published datasets utilizing these data sets shall clearly indicate their source.
