This is a\\u00a0point\\u00a0data set representing\\u00a0river miles of the main channel of the Lower Boise River created by the City of Boise Public Works Department.\\u00a0\\u00a0 The points are approximately\\u00a01/10th\\u00a0of a mile\\u00a0apart from each other\\u00a0for flexibility in landmark identification\\u00a0and model node selection\\u00a0(used in analysis).\\u00a0\\u00a0A\\u00a0river mile\\u00a0is\\u00a0a relative measure of the navigable distances in the deepest part of the channel.\\u00a0It is the distance in miles along a river from its mouth.\\u00a0 River mile numbers begin at zero and increase further upstream.\\u00a0\\u00a0


The data set was created\\u00a0by\\u00a0digitizing\\u00a01/10th\\u00a0of a\\u00a0mile measurements\\u00a0along the river channel using\\u00a02015 Idaho NAIP Imagery\\u00a0(1-meter\\u00a0resolution)\\u00a0at a 1:3000 scale or finer.\\u00a0As\\u00a0newer high-quality\\u00a0aerial imagery becomes available, a new version of the dataset will be created to reflect changes in the main channel over time and made available here.\\u00a0 We are currently working on a 2017 version.
